College Day celebration of my Alma Mater

Last February 6-8 of this year, our Alma Mater celebrated its Foundation day at 85. As usual, it started with a Holy Mass presided by Father Cadayona. After the mass, a short program was held for its opening. Faculties, staff and selected students from elementary, high school and college presented depicting the years our alma mater went through from 30's up to now. After their awesome and colorful presentations, a speech from Father Cadayona followed to formally open the event.

Rain or shine! The event continued with a parade on its second day. Again, Holy Mass then parade followed. Josephinians, faculties and staff gave their full participation despite the rain. Different departments presented their float featuring or describing their departments. It was the highlight of the event. To make it more exciting, they made it as a contest. I knew judges find it hard on who would gonna win. After the parade, opening of the booths followed. It was a day full of fun for all the Josephinians.

For the third day, February 8, there we called a Dream Run. Students exerted full energy during the event. They were given a choice if they will go for 300, 500M, or 1000M-dash. I didn't joined myself. I was a first aider that time. On the same, the event ended. Of course, with a Holy Mass then a formal closing remark followed. No wonder why smiles worn by Josephinians. It's all because of the whole event that made them enjoyed their stay in our Alma mater.

Conratulations SAINT JOSEPH COLLEGE-Maasin City for your big leap at 85.

GOD bless!
