Qualifying Examination

Day of the exam, I was lack of sleep. I slept at 2A.M and woke up at 6A.M to prepare for the exam which will be at 7A.M. As I'm done preparing, I used the remaining time to review to catch up another lesson to learn that might be included in the exam.

As we are called to get inside the examination room, I felt shaking and nervous. Worries is inevitable. I just prayed before the exam started. That's best way that could help among the things I did for the exam.

The process of the exam was so thrilled. In fact, I am rattled in the middle of it. I'm confuse on what to answer first. The exam took three hours. To sum up it all, I find the exam difficult. As we're done and about to go out from the room, friends and i were smiling to each other but we cannot hide the worries in our eyes. After the exam, we agreed to hang out just to make us relax. But, we failed. Yes! We laugh. But, behind those laughter, I can sense a worry mind. We're just hoping that we will all pass.

As I arrived home, I cried and cried, hugging my parents. There, I released the worries I had in myself. They comforted me and that make my feelings weigh less.

I am really afraid to fail. Hope that I pass. right now, I'm waiting for the result. I want to finish Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and be one of those CPAs. I hope so.

GOD bless!!!

Preparation for the Qualifying Examination

Accountancy course is not that easy compared to the other courses. Though, lessons need to be studied but accountancy is different. Once you're enrolled to this course, you need to be serious and focused. Unlike the others, as I have noticed, they were relaxed. As I enrolled this course, I was telling myself that a big responsibility is handed upon me. A responsibility to study and focus to my lessons. At first, I find it easy. But, as time passed by, it became difficult.

In addition, there's a qualifying exam. An exam which will decide if a student can proceed to its third year in Accountancy or shift to another course. And that I am nervous. This is the reason why I'm hesitated to enroll in this course before.

After final exams, most likely, students were happy especially their last day of exams for it meant a relaxation for them and stress free from assignments, activities, quizzes, and projects. But, us, second year accountancy students. We felt no relax. In fact, we're nervous knowing that the final exams is over. It just meant for us that qualifying exam is nearer.

As the day of the exam came nearer, something bothered on my mind. It's the exam. Whenever I think about it, my heart beat fast. Whenever it happened, I jsut prayed to God to lessen my fears and help me through the exam.

As I believed that preparation is the best weapon whenever i came to a battle/exam, that's what I did. I prepare myself to it by studying my lessons through group or alone. It's the best thing I could do aside from prayers. I undergo restless days and sleepless nights. I mean, I slept late at night and wake up earlier to study. I used every single time i have just to study and gain another information that might help for me to pass the exam. I never wasted any time. I even get my eyes teary because of restless or myself dizzy because of lack of sleep. I even got sick two days before the exam but that was never be a hindrance to my review. I continue studying despite of not feeling well. For motivation, I just tell myself to just sleep whenever i want, as long as the exam done. i will spoil myself with enough sleep. :)

Being the HEAD TURNER OF THE NIGHT

As the host of that's night event said that there will e an award, me and my group of friends were teasing each other that one of us will be called and be awarded. We didn't have any idea. We just teased each other. Just for fun.

As they picked, they announced the winner for each award. I was the third to be called. There, I was the HEAD TURNER OF THE NIGHT. As my name was called, my friends shouted out of excitement and shock. Me, too, I was shocked. As I stood up to come up on stage to get my award, I was a bit shaking. I was even afraid to fall because I'm nervous. I can't get over with the shock I felt. When I receive the award, I can see my hands were shaking. Hehehehe. I can't look at the audience because of the light focusing on me. I felt like woman of the night. Wahahaha. I felt shy and proud. I really can't believe that I will got an award for that night. Yet, I was happy to experience to receive that kind of award for the first time. :p

Being a head turner gave me a responsibility to be of good look always. Heheheh. Classmates keep on teasing me. I felt shy whenever they did that. Time passed, they stopped teasing me. I'm glad. Although, my close friends still teased me whenever I'm with them.

GOD bless!!!

A-night 2013

A-night also known as Accountancy night. It is one of the event accountancy students most awaited for. Week before the said night, accountancy students prepared for their outfit. They start thinking on what they should wear. Some bought from fashion stores. Some went to tailors to have heir dress made while some just borrowed from their friends. All should wear formal attires.

It was its second year that all year levels participated. Unlike year before last year and backward wherein only the seniors and juniors are required to attend. Last year and this year are different from the rest in a way that all year levels, from freshmen to seniors, should be there. During the event, you could be amazed watching accountancy students with their different attires. They transformed elegantly. From their daily school uniforms, school bags with books on their arms to slacks, ties, long sleeves, dresses and heels. It was a great transformation, the only thing I could describe with their looks. A-night was not just socializing. Awarding of Star Jpians, turnover of responsibilities and duties of the old officers to the newly elected ones and mingling with the oither students are the highlight of the event.

To make the night more exciting, and to not waste the effort of the students for their outfits, there are awards to be given. That time, names of the students were in like raffle and whoever picked will get the award. And guess what! I was one of those who got an award. I am the HEADTURNER OF THE NIGHT. Hahahahaha. It was really unexpected. Shy and proud, that's what I felt. :)

Dance and partying(no liquors), that's what all did. Grabbing the night of relaxation and free from stress. The night ended up successfully with smile on the face of every JPIANs. We really enjoyed the night.

EDSA 1986

EDSA REVOLUTION also known as PEOPLE POWER REVOLUTION. It happened on 1986. It was 27 years ago. I was the time when civilians, militars and religious groups gathered at EDSA saying their prayers and shouting their hunger of freedom from Marcus Regime. It caused Marcus administration to be out and replaced by Cory Aquino. That event left marked in every Filipinos heart. It will never be forgotten and be passed from one generation to other generation.

EDSA revolution always be commemorated since it is very significant to every Filipinos. With this, Filipinos enjoyed their freedom. It was, I think 20 years, Filipinos suffered from Marcus' administration. After EDSA revolution Filipinos have their freedom to speak and think whatever they wanted and society didn't have to bow down to their dictator, Ferdinand Marcus. It was the first time filipinos reunited seeking for their freedom. First time after Katipunan in 1898.

Our government made it a holiday for the Filipinos will enjoy the day their freedom granted. Hayyyyyyyyyyyy!!! SOOOOOOOOOOO good to be Filipino. GOD Bless Philippines!

College Day celebration of my Alma Mater

Last February 6-8 of this year, our Alma Mater celebrated its Foundation day at 85. As usual, it started with a Holy Mass presided by Father Cadayona. After the mass, a short program was held for its opening. Faculties, staff and selected students from elementary, high school and college presented depicting the years our alma mater went through from 30's up to now. After their awesome and colorful presentations, a speech from Father Cadayona followed to formally open the event.

Rain or shine! The event continued with a parade on its second day. Again, Holy Mass then parade followed. Josephinians, faculties and staff gave their full participation despite the rain. Different departments presented their float featuring or describing their departments. It was the highlight of the event. To make it more exciting, they made it as a contest. I knew judges find it hard on who would gonna win. After the parade, opening of the booths followed. It was a day full of fun for all the Josephinians.

For the third day, February 8, there we called a Dream Run. Students exerted full energy during the event. They were given a choice if they will go for 300, 500M, or 1000M-dash. I didn't joined myself. I was a first aider that time. On the same, the event ended. Of course, with a Holy Mass then a formal closing remark followed. No wonder why smiles worn by Josephinians. It's all because of the whole event that made them enjoyed their stay in our Alma mater.

Conratulations SAINT JOSEPH COLLEGE-Maasin City for your big leap at 85.

GOD bless!
