Day Care Day Celebration

Every year, it was part of the Maasin City traditon to celebrate Day Care Day. This day was used to acknowledge the good work of the day care teachers. This was to expose children to different activities with the guidance of their parents and teachers. And in their early ages, they would be able to develop their God-given talents. It also helped to discover pupils' hidden talent. It also become a way for a child to be practiced in mingling people and also meet and have new friends from different barangays.

October 28 was the date which was set for this traditional event. And night before this day, a coronation night was held at the Maasin City Gym in which there were 6 representatives joined. Day after that, the event was started by a parade in which children or the day care pupils with their parents beside them walk along some streets in Maasin. It was enjoyable and cute to look for seeing some children wearing their muse attire. It's like we want to pinch them in a way that we admire them for being beautiful and cute. After that, of course, being religious, in every event, there's always a Holy Mass. And as it was ended, a program was followed immediately after a few minute break for snacks. Then, program started which is called Day Care Got Talent. In here, day care pupils showed their dancing talents through a cheerdance competition. There were only six groups who perform since all the barangays were divided into six clusters. After the cheerdance, individual competition followed wherein some sang while others danced. Some showed gymnastic moves while others presented rymes or declaimation. Some acted on stage while others do some extraordinary things which amazed and satisfied the audience. And before the formal closure of this year's event, winners was announced and all were satisfied and contented with the results.

The event end up successfully. All were happy with the activities they had. All did enjoy. Parents were very proud of their children and this is the most important of all. God Bless!
